A service overview and catalog of Duo Desktop provided by the UC Berkeley IT Service Hub.
Duo Desktop is a tool that checks the security and compliance of campus computers. It is a small program that verifies if a computer meets campus security requirements before allowing access to certain applications and systems that contain restricted data. This helps prevent unauthorized access to campus data and mitigates risks from vulnerable or non-compliant devices.
Please note that Duo Desktop security checks require the latest Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge browser. If you are running Firefox Extended Support Release (ESR) it may be identified as out of date and fail security checks. In that case, you can either install non-ESR alongside ESR or use a different browser when accessing applications that require Duo Desktop.
