A service overview and catalog of Identity Management & Governance provided by the UC Berkeley IT Service Hub.

Description

The CalNet team runs a suite of tools and services that provide identity management and governance to campus. These tools include Berkeley Person Registry, Berkeley Identity Management System, CalNet Admin Tool, CalNet Account Manager and the campus directory update. It collects data from campus systems of record (such as UC Path and SIS), and creates a single identity for each individual person on campus. Identity data is provisioned to downstream systems for access control and to obtain authoritative information about users.

Getting Started

Employees, students, affiliates and alums can manage your own CalNet accounts via CalNet Account Manager.

Employees who provide technical support to campus users can obtain access to the CalNet Admin Tool

Campus developers can reach out to calnet-admin@berkeley.edu for information regarding Berkeley Person Registry and its databases, BIDMS, and other IAM governance issues.
