A service overview and catalog of CalNet Directory Update Application provided by the UC Berkeley IT Service Hub.
The CalNet Directory Update tool allows you to control what data is displayed about you in the UC Berkeley campus directory.
Options include:
- Public: everyone can see this field; this is the default setting
- Logged in: only those logged in via CalNet can see this field; or
- Not visible: no one can see this field
How can I update my directory listing?
- Navigate to CalNet Account Manager and log in using your CalNet ID and passphrase.
- Click on Directory Update on the left side menu.
- Once logged in, you will see your name as well as contact data fields
- Use the drop-down menu for each field to select how you want that information displayed in the directory.
- Hit the “Save” button to retain your selections
- Additional instructions are available within the Directory Update App
Note: students and employees have different editing abilities:
- Students can view and set display preferences for their names and pronouns
- Employees (including student employees) can view and set display preferences for name, pronouns, email address, campus phone number, and work address.
