ConnexUC (formerly Connexxus) is the UC systemwide online travel portal used for arranging business-related travel for faculty, student field study, staff, and hosted guests. It is coupled with the Direct Bill ID system which allows for business-related airfare to be directly charged to the University. All airfare, hotel reservations, and car rentals should be booked using ConnexUC. By booking travel using ConnexUC and Direct Bill the University gets significant volume discounts and traveling faculty and staff minimize their out-of-pocket costs or time until reimbursement.

Business travel booked through ConnexUC is automatically eligible for the UC Travel Insurance program.

• Has built-in reminders about compliance with UC travel policy. The Direct Bill System validates chart strings and posts charges to departmental ledgers efficiently. A valid, unique Direct Bill ID will be required to confirm each airline ticket paid for by UC Berkeley.
